Mini Biography

Kangana was born in the Hindi-speaking Ranaut family on 20 March 1987 in Bhambla, near Manali, which is in the Mandi district in the State of Himachal Pradesh, India. Her dad’s name is Amardeep, who is a businessman and contractor, her mom, Asha, is a school-teacher. She has two sisters, eldest one is Rangoli, and she has a brother, Akshit, who is about a year younger than her. Her grandfather was an IAS Officer. Kangana spent her childhood in Dehra Dun and studied in DAV’s High School where she participated in many debates, Elocutions, and was a basket-ball player.

After completing her schooling, she attended Science College in Simla. She was enrolled in the Elite School of Modeling, and also tried some theater acting in Delhi and was a member of the Smita Theater Group under Arvind Gaur. She is also a trained Kathak dancer, and is learning to sing from Amitabh Chakraborty.

She decided to re-locate to Bombay, and lived in a flat in Yari Road, Versova. Her attempts at acting in Bollywood movies were unsuccessful. Then during September 2005, she was spotted drinking coffee in a café by Film-maker Anurag Basu, who approached her, and eventually signed her up for a lead role in ‘Gangster’ which was released during the year 2006. Since then Kangana has appeared in a total of five movies, including ‘Dhaam Dhoom’ in Tamil.

After her success in movies, she has now relocated to a three bedroom house in Turner Road, Bandra (West), Mumbai.

Salman Taseer announced Sukheki Interchange on Motorway

Governor Punjab Salman Taseer has said that the Pakistan Peoples Party would soon control over all the crises facing to nation and country at present. He said that the Local Bodies System of government would be protected at all cost. He stated this while addressing a public meeting at Pindi Bhattian on Tuesday. Tehsil Nazim Pindi Bhattian Mian Ansar Abbas Bhatti arranged reception in honor of the Governor Punjab. A great number of PPP workers, local leaders and elite of the area were present on the occasion. The Governor said that the PPP dethroned former President Pervez Musharraf through the democratic way and avoided adopting politics of confrontation for the greater interest of the country. He said the Pakistan Peoples Party included the smaller parties in governments at center and provinces, as in Sindh it made coalition government by including MQM and in Balochistan with the other parties to end the feelings of deprivation in the smaller provinces.
Governor announced to accord approval for establishing park, construction of stadium and Press Club building and supply of suigas in Pindi Bhattain, besides establishing of Sukheki Interchange on Motorway.

Black day observed by lawyers

The lawyer community observed countrywide black day on November 3rd in which advocates and attorneys fully participated. Large number of lawyers can been seen in the above picture.
Activists of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Tehrik-e-Insaf, Insaaf Students Federation, Jamiat Talaba Islam, Jamiat Ulema Islam, Tehrik-e-Khaksaar, Pakhtoon Khawa Milli Awami Party, Students Action Committee, Shabab-e-Milli, Muslim Students Federation and the citizens of Pakistan also joined lawyers at the GPO Chowk and later marched towards the Governor’s House.

Government won’t take action against Musharraf: Gillani

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani addressed Turkish daily that his government will not take any action against former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf as long as he stays away of politics. Gillani said that the government “wanted a general reconciliation in the country and should focus on important issues such as terrorism, poverty, hunger, disease, health and education”.
“Now, he [Musharraf] keeps a low profile. If he is not politically active, then we would not want to open too many fronts,” he said.
He also said that “We are not talking to people who are militants. We are only talking to the people who have denounced terrorism,”
