Over 1000 new species discovered in Mekong Region

World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) discovered over 1000 new species during year 1997 and 2007 from Greater Mekong Region of Southeast Asia. Most amazing specie of them is world’s largest huntsman spider, with a foot-long leg span.
In above picture you can see this green snake, its one out of those 22 newly found snakes and according to WWF report they have found 519 plants, 279 fish, 88 frogs, 88 spiders, 46 lizards, 22 snakes, 15 mammals, 4 birds, 4 turtles, 2 salamanders and a toad.
